Order Desk Release Notes – May 2025

Our April updates are packed with improvements across the board: we’ve added a new integration, rolled out several enhancements for existing ones, and fine-tuned a few features within the app. Whether you’re looking for better automation, smoother syncing, or more control, there’s something here for you.

Let’s dive in…

New Integrations

Our new integration with Dimona stood out to us as a potentially unique opportunity since it’s one of our first-available print integrations to serve LATAM customers. Their full suite of services, including DTG, DTF and embroidery, and strategically located warehouses and global production centers all make Dimona a clever choice for scaling businesses.

Order Desk App Updates

  • We’ll now retry temporary email errors from customer and admin email rule actions, and we’ve improved our internal logging to help with troubleshooting.
  • Notification emails for credential errors are now more user-friendly and clearer about what went wrong.
  • If posting order JSON to a webhook fails, we’ll retry up to 10 times before stopping and emailing the store admin.
  • We can now automatically generate tracking links for orders shipped with amzn_us (Amazon US) as the carrier code.

Integration Features, Updates and Fixes

Sales Channels

  • Shopify
    • We now support submitting shipments using Shopify’s new GraphQL Admin API.
    • A larger number of discount lines can now be pulled into Order Desk during order import. We previously capped it at 10 per order, but the limit has now been increased to 30.
  • Amazon Marketplace
    • When syncing stock to Amazon, if we find that an item isn’t listed there, we’ll now automatically add a skip_push_amazonmp_na metadata to that item. This helps make sure we only focus on syncing items that actually exist on Amazon.
    • We also made some other fixes to improve how inventory sync works with Amazon, making sure stores can always get accurate inventory updates.
  • Brightpearl
    • We’ve updated the integration so that only items with a matching Goods Out Note for your selected warehouse (under the integration settings page) will be imported into Order Desk. This helps make sure that only order items that need to be fulfilled are imported for processing.
  • Brightstores
    • The integration now supports our Vendor Filter option, making it possible to selectively import only orders for specific vendors. This helps you focus on managing just the orders you need in Order Desk.
  • Temu
    • Fixed a bug where we were sending “DHL” instead of the more specific “DHL eCommerce” as the shipment carrier.
  • WooCommerce
    • We’ve improved how we handle coupon data. If there are multiple coupons in an order, we’ll now break them out into separate order metadata fields (e.g. coupon_code_1, coupon_amount_1, etc.) to make them easier to use.
    • We’ve also made some overall fixes to the order import process to help ensure no orders that should be imported are skipped.
  • Wix
    • We’re now able to correctly differentiate the shipping address for pickup orders from other order types. Previously, there were cases where pickup orders ended up with incorrect shipping addresses.
    • Added support for orders with missing tax amounts.
  • Wayfair
    • There were some recent updates to how shipping labels should be registered and pulled from Wayfair. When retrying failed label requests, we’ll now make sure a proper pickup date is passed along. This should improve the chances of success when trying again.
  • Walmart
    • We were running into issues when syncing large volumes of inventory at once. To make things smoother, we’ll now sync items in batches of 10,000 until everything is updated.
  • DSCO Supplier
    • If available, we can now pull customer email addresses directly from the Shipping Information fields provided by DSCO.
    • We’ve made some fixes to ensure gift messages are properly imported along with orders.
    • Added support for the VendorInvoiceNumber field to help prevent validation errors when resubmitting shipments to DSCO.
  • TikTok Shop
    • We’ve made some improvements to our shipment submission process in the background. Our shipping provider lookup with TikTok is now more robust and centralized across both the US and UK marketplaces.
  • Liftoff
    • We can now listen for order cancelations. It’s also possible to take further action on these orders using the Order Canceled at Liftoff event in the Rule Builder.
    • Custom order fields added in Liftoff will now make it into Order Desk as checkout data. This makes it possible to later pass these additional order info into fulfillment systems.
  • Shein
    • On a few occasions, we were running into errors when trying to submit shipments to Shein. We’ve added some fixes to properly store the shein_goods_id on order items. This should help resolve those errors.
  • Amazon Retail Procurement
    • Added support for a new warehouse code: YYC4. Also, if we come across a code that isn’t currently supported, we’ll send a notification email to alert the store admin.

Fulfillment

  • ShipHero
    • We made a few improvements to the way we pass multiple order tags to ShipHero in the background. This should help prevent errors during order submission.
  • Veracore
    • Added support for a new shipping method: FedEx Priority Overnight Saturday.
  • FedEx Supply Chain
    • We’re now able to pass along the destination company name when submitting orders through the integration.
  • Logiwa IO
    • We’ve improved our inventory sync process for both kit and non-kit items to make updates more accurate.
    • We now include the CompanyName field during order submissions. If no company is provided, we’ll use the shipping full name instead.
    • Fixed an issue where orders were incorrectly being sent as Shipment Orders instead of honoring the default option set in the integration settings. New orders should now respect the selected default order type when submitted to Logiwa.
  • Deposco
    • We’ve improved how we handle inventory sync. If stock is coming from multiple inventory locations, we’ll now sum it across all of them instead of only looking at one.

Print On Demand

  • Gelato
    • After orders are submitted for fulfillment, we’ll now pull the total cost from Gelato (including VAT) and store it in an order metadata field called gelato_cost_total. This can be useful for merchants who want to calculate profit on a per-order basis.
  • Bay Photo
    • Added support for a new USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground shipping method. This method will automatically trigger Bay Photo to choose either of these as a basic shipping option on their end.
  • Digital On Demand
    • The integration now supports shipment webhook redirects. This is especially helpful if you’re using the same Digital On Demand account across multiple Order Desk stores.
  • Stakes MFG
    • We added support for a new item-level field called hangtag. This represents Stakes MFG’s hangtag SKU and can be set as item metadata or variation before order submission.
  • CustomCat
    • Orders can now be sent to CustomCat along with shipping labels. The label link can be added as ShippingLabel and the carrier info as ShippingLabelCarrier. Both fields can be set as Checkout Data or Order Metadata.
  • Vantage Apparel
    • We fixed an issue with shipment lookups by switching to the correct lookup method. We now search by PO number instead of SO number to find the right shipment details.
  • District Photo
    • We’ve added support for a new shipping method, P3, which is used when sending your own shipping label to District Photo. If a shipping label is included in an order, we’ll automatically set the shipping method to P3 in the background.
  • HP Site Flow
    • Added support for Schaetzl as a new print provider.
  • Two Fifteen
    • Two Fifteen’s API recently changed how print locations should be passed. We’ve updated our integration to support this new format.
  • Monster Digital
    • We recently noticed a temporary “create shipment” error coming from Monster Digital’s order submission API. Since these attempts usually succeed on a second try, we’ve added an automatic resubmission process to handle them for you.

Productivity

  • Slack
    • You can now send posts to private Slack channels. Just make sure to first reconnect the integration and update your permissions.
  • Make
    • Make built an integration to us some time ago, and until now, we’ve only enabled the connector on request. It’s now available for anyone to turn on directly from the Integrations page within Order Desk.
  • Zakeke
    • In addition to the main print files, we’ll now fetch print previews from Zakeke as well.
  • AfterShip
    • Added support for Delhivery as a carrier code.

That’s it for this month! If any of these updates spark questions or ideas, feel free to reach out.

Until next time!
