Connect Houzz
In Manage Integrations, enable Houzz under Shopping Carts. Request API credentials in Houzz under Vendor Dashboard → Settings → API. Houzz reviews each request before sending credentials. Enter them in Order Desk and turn on Sync Tracking Numbers.
Connect Shopify
Enable Shopify and click Connect to Shopify. In the Shopify integration settings, click Import Inventory Items Now to bring in your products with their Shopify Variant IDs, and turn on Download Shopify Shipments.
Turn on the automation
Enable Add Inventory Details to Order Items in your store settings. Then create an “Order is Imported” rule, filtered to Houzz orders, with the Submit Order to Shopify action.
Tip: add the checkout data
SetOrderNumber=1with a rule if you want orders to keep their Houzz order number in Shopify.

Houzz + Shopify questions
Can Houzz orders be sent to Shopify automatically?
Yes. Order Desk downloads your Houzz orders on the schedule you choose, and a rule triggered by “Order is Imported” with the Submit Order to Shopify action sends them to Shopify for fulfillment.
How do I get Houzz API credentials?
Request them in Houzz under Vendor Dashboard → Settings → API. Houzz reviews each request manually before providing credentials, so allow some time before you can connect.
Does tracking go back to Houzz?
Yes. With Download Shopify Shipments turned on, Order Desk adds tracking to each order as it’s fulfilled in Shopify. With Sync Tracking Numbers turned on in your Houzz settings, that shipment is passed back to the original Houzz order.
My Houzz SKUs don’t match my Shopify SKUs. Will that work?
Yes. Save a code_replace value on each item in Order Desk to swap in your Shopify SKU as orders import (see the code replace guide). Then import your Shopify items so each one carries its Shopify Variant ID.
Can Order Desk update stock on both Houzz and Shopify?
Yes. Turn on Sync Inventory in both integrations and Order Desk sends inventory counts to each one as they change. For Shopify, inventory tracking also needs to be turned on for your products in Shopify.
