Setup

How to connect Adobe Commerce and Stamps.com

Most of the work is a one-time setup. After that, orders move on their own.

  1. Create your Order Desk store

Start a free 30-day trial with full access to every feature and integration.

  2. Connect Adobe Commerce

In Adobe Commerce, create an Integration Access Token with all Sales Operations and Catalog permissions. In Order Desk, enable Adobe Commerce under Shopping Carts, add your website URL and access token, and click Connect.

  3. Turn on Stamps.com

Enable Stamps.com under the Shipping tab in Manage Integrations. It doesn’t need any credentials. Select a few orders, click send to Stamps.com, and save the XML file to a folder you’ll reuse.

  4. Set up the Stamps.com app

In the Stamps.com Windows app, go to Orders → Manage Data Source → Add Source, choose XML, name the profile “Order Desk” and select your file. After that, export from Order Desk to the same folder and click Import Orders in Stamps.com.

Tip: the Stamps.com export works with the Windows app only. On a Mac, use the Endicia integration instead.

FAQ

Adobe Commerce + Stamps.com questions

How does Order Desk connect to Stamps.com?

Order Desk exports your selected orders as an XML file. The Stamps.com Windows app imports that file through a data source you set up once, so you can create USPS labels without retyping addresses. Stamps.com doesn’t need any credentials in Order Desk.

Does tracking go back to Adobe Commerce automatically?

Stamps.com is a file-based connection, so tracking doesn’t flow back into Order Desk on its own. Add it to your orders in Order Desk by hand or by importing a spreadsheet with a Shipments import template. With Sync Tracking Numbers turned on, Order Desk then sends it to Adobe Commerce.

I use a Mac. Can I still use this?

The Stamps.com export works with the Stamps.com Windows app only. On a Mac, Order Desk recommends the Endicia integration instead.

Which versions of Adobe Commerce are supported?

Adobe Commerce 2.1 and later. If you’re on the original legacy version of Magento, Order Desk has a separate Magento integration.

Can I send package weight and dimensions to Stamps.com?

Yes. Set PackageType, PackageWeight, PackageLength, PackageWidth and PackageHeight on an order as checkout data or order metadata, and they’re included in the export.

How much does it cost?

Every Order Desk plan includes all integrations, and pricing is published on our pricing page. New stores get a 30-day free trial with full access.
