Order Desk Release Notes – December 2025

It’s hard to believe another year is wrapped up. Before things get too lost in the shuffle in the post-holiday season, we wanted to share one more batch of updates and fixes we’ve rolled out to keep things running. We appreciate you being with us this past year, and we’re already looking forward to everything we’ll be working on in 2026!

This month’s updates bring a new integration, a long list of improvements across the app, and a bunch of fixes that should make your use of the app better. There’s a lot here, so get comfortable and take your time going through everything.

New Integrations

podOS

If you use podOS for your print on demand production work, you’ll be glad to know that Order Desk now integrates with them. We help get your cart orders ready with the production details podOS needs before sending them off. When your orders ship, the tracking will come back through Order Desk and update your cart automatically.

If you want to try it out or start moving more of your production workflow into Order Desk, you can learn more about the integration here.

Order Desk App Updates

  • PDFs generated in Order Desk can now render emojis, although they’ll only appear in black and white.
  • Every shipment added through an integration will now show the shipment source, helping you understand exactly where each update came from.
  • Order Desk will now always add the code_replace_chain metadata when a code replacement happens, even if the replaced SKU isn’t saved in your inventory.
  • Any change to an order item’s quantity, weight, or price will now be logged in the order history.
  • Shipment import templates now let you specify which line items were shipped, which is helpful for stores with partial shipments.
  • Fixed an issue where adding an order item through rules didn’t sync its details from inventory.

Integration Features, Updates and Fixes

Sales Channels

  • Faire
    • Order Desk now brings in orders that are “Processing” by default, not just “New” orders like before.
  • Wayfair Castlegate
    • We fixed a problem where we were sending the wrong kind of request when accepting orders, which was causing errors.
  • Shopify
    • You can now import an order but skip only the specific items that are on hold (instead of skipping the whole order).
    • We added support for downloading extra customer details (customer metafields) along with the order data.
    • In the Order Content tab, you can now filter item metadata, giving you control over which extra item details are imported with your Shopify orders.
    • Order Desk now adds up all tax lines on Shopify order items instead of just importing the first one. This fixes an issue where the item tax totals didn’t match Shopify’s value.
    • There’s a new rule event for when Shopify rejects shipment submission attempts. The event is called “Shipment Submission Denied (App-Managed Fulfillment)”). You can use this to trigger automatic rule actions when a rejection happens.
    • When you use the Set Order Metafield at Shopify rule action, you can now find the right metafield using either its title (the common name) or its machine name (the technical name).
    • We fixed a problem where partial refunds on orders with multiple lines might refund the wrong amount.
  • Amazon Marketplace
    • Inventory sync now uses feeds instead of the older Amazon Listings API.
  • Magento 2
    • We added support for importing the order’s currency and saving it as order metadata during the import.
  • Walmart Marketplace
    • We improved how we handle UPS Mail Innovation carrier codes, changing them to the format Walmart needs when we send shipment updates.
  • ShipStation Import
    • ShipStation tag names are now imported along with their tag IDs.
  • Liftoff
    • Shipment updates sent to Liftoff now include the ship date.
    • We fixed a bug that caused incorrect pricing on imported orders. We also added new item details for cost tracking: liftoff_unit_base_cost and liftoff_total_unit_base_cost.
  • Mirakl
    • We added support for downloading Mirakl products into Order Desk.
    • Added support for importing commission details if they’re part of an order.
    • Added support for sending order acceptance notices back to Mirakl. You can also use rules to automatically accept orders.
  • Shift4Shop
    • The integration now supports syncing stock for products that have advanced options. Before, only the main product supported inventory sync.

Fulfillment

  • Logiwa IO
    • We added support for kit shipments, even when the items that shipped weren’t included in the shipment updates from Logiwa.
    • Inventory sync from Logiwa now includes item names and images, in addition to the SKU and stock level. These values always update with the newest data from Logiwa.
  • SanMar
    • You can now send a “department” value with your orders to SanMar. You can set this as a default in the integration settings or change it for specific orders by adding a department field to the order details.
  • Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager
    • Added support for shipments shipped with the carrier ICS Kitpak Account.
  • Avectous
    • We added support for a new field on orders called EDIWhse. This is a general field for you to use as needed in Avectous.
  • PDR
    • You can now choose how you connect to PDR. You’ll be able to pick between connecting via FTP or SFTP in the integration settings.
  • Cargowise
    • We added support for uploading multiple order documents without them canceling each other out. Before, only the first document upload would go through.

Print On Demand

  • Mintsoft
    • Order Desk can now handle Mintsoft shipments that don’t have tracking numbers. When Mintsoft sends a shipment without tracking, the tracking field in Order Desk will say “untracked” instead of just being ignored.
    • We added a duplicate order handler that checks for an existing order IDs in Mintsoft. If found, duplicate order errors caused by connection timeouts will now be treated as successful submissions.
  • Rupt
    • We added support for sending specific tag IDs through a new field called rupt_tag_ids. You can send multiple IDs separated by commas.
  • FinerWorks
    • If FinerWorks sends a payment failure message after an order submission, Order Desk will now save that message in the finerworks_message metadata field.
  • Fulfill Engine
    • Print type values on order items are no longer sensitive to capitalization.
  • RV Print Factory
    • Validation failures from RV Print Factory are now handled separately from cancellations. These errors will no longer move orders to a Canceled folder, and you can now resubmit the affected orders.

Shipping

  • EasyPost
    • Updated the customs weight fallback to use 1oz instead of 8oz when item weight is too small. This helps prevent parcel weight errors during label creation.

Productivity

  • QuickBooks Online
    • Some invoices coming from Quickbooks were missing a status, which caused us to skip them during import. We’ve added extra checks to make sure we import them.
  • Unleashed
    • Inventory sync now pulls data from the more accurate single warehouse stock endpoint, ensuring the correct stock levels.
    • You can now choose a Default Warehouse where all your orders will be sent. You can also change this for individual orders.
  • Dropbox
    • Uploading a file to an order item field through the Dropbox integration will now trigger the “order item changed” event. This makes sure you can use rules to take action after the file(s) are uploaded.
  • Zakeke
    • We fixed an issue where uploaded images with the same name could overwrite each other on our servers. Filenames now include the item ID to make sure every image link is unique.

That’s it for the last update of 2025!

I hope you had a fantastic holiday season and a happy New Year. If you have any questions or need help with any of these updates, feel free to reach out to us.

See ya!
